Gracie Barra Brandon is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and self-defense school in East Pointe Plaza in Brandon. The academy has beginner, kids, advanced, and competition paths led by Professor Vanderlei “Vand” Habermann, a black belt under Master Vinicius “Draculino” Magalhães.
Children begin with an age-based Little Champions or Juniors class. Adults and teens 15+ begin with GB1, the school’s published all-levels program. The academy also publishes women’s, homeschool, and one-on-one private training options.

The all-levels class is the published starting point for someone new to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Little Champions and Juniors classes group children by developmental stage.
A first contact with the mat, built around coordination, listening and falling safely.
Real technique taught through careful coaching, play and confidence.
A more focused class for older kids who are ready to take their training seriously.

Professor Vanderlei “Vand” Habermann is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Master Vinicius “Draculino” Magalhães. He is also the owner of Gracie Barra Leme in São Paulo, Brazil, and the academy states that he has guided many students to their black belts.
